The problem
Space news is scattered across agency sites and dense articles. I wanted one place that makes it feel alive.
What I built
- Live ISS position, altitude and velocity.
- Tonight’s sky, active missions and launch countdowns.
- NASA’s picture of the day and a timeline of ISRO missions from Aryabhata to Chandrayaan-3.
- A Python bot that makes and posts a daily space reel to Instagram.
- VU Tech, a Chrome extension that puts Hacker News on every new tab.
How it’s built
Next.js and Tailwind with Framer Motion, pulling from NASA’s public APIs. The reel bot is Python (moviepy, instagrapi), and VU Tech uses the browser extension APIs.
